Hey folks.Tonight i put an old set of keystones on my duster and was wondering if anyone knows if those offset washers that im using need less torque than a normal wheel, the old washers were cupped pretty bad.I dont need the new ones being all dished also.I cant find any info on the Cragar site that still makes keystone wheels.

What year is your Duster? Up to a certain year (I think maybe '72 or so) the lug nut torque is only 65 ft-lbs, I think less on A bodys (like only 55 ft-lbs). Later models use 85 ft-lbs for the 1/2" studs. Think it has to do with hardened (newer) and non-hardened (older) studs. I got into an argument with a tire place that torqued the lugs on my old '70 Fury to 85 ft-lbs, when the shop manual said the torque should only be 65. They said thats what they torque all wheels to. So, your wheels may have been over torqued for many years causing the washers to be ruined. Maybe somebody with a shop manual handy can chime in with the proper lug nut torque for your year.
