Would one of your more saged Dart owners look at ebay item #390173836773 and tell me where on a 1964 Dart this emblem would go? Thank you.

That's a really good question. It's not the hood emblem, which has a different shape. I can't find any such a one in my '64 FPC, though illustrations of nameplates tend to be minimal and grainy where they exist at all. I wonder if it might go somewhere on a '63, but that's all it is, is me wondering.

It's the plastic insert that goes into the metal hood trim.

No, it isn't. Wrong shape. The piece you're talking about looks like this.

My guess would be that it is a steering wheel horn emblem insert, or it goes in your hand while you play your guitar.

I wish that auction had more pictures and more info. If that is laying flat, then it doesn't have any posts or other means of fastening it to anything on the back. That leads me to believe it is either an inserted emblem, such as a horn or hood ornament, or an impostor.

Oh yeah, 64 WAS the "Golden Anniversary" year, wasn't it. If these are NOS, does he have a box with a part number for them? I would ask for a part number before purchasing it.

Looks like the right shape for a 63 dart hood emblem. It's the plastic that goes behind the chrome piece.

Yep. Linda's is in three distinct pieces. I need a "GT" one.
