Okay, got my new 2 barrel on my modified 1 barrel manifold running(the carb is turned 90 degrees). Still working on smoothing out the linkage. My question is:

The person that gave me the manifold also had the choke with it. It is a Holley 9189/32 electric choke with one wire. I would guess that wire should be hooked up to a source that is only hot when the ignition is on(yes/no)?

Should it be fused and what size fuse?

By the way, thanks SSDan for the clue on the Ebay Holley 2280. It runs so much better than my old 1 barrel setup. :D

Yes, you only want power to that wire when the engine is running. If it has constant power it'll fry the bi-metal spring in the choke.
As a side note, I had read somewhere that if you run a lower voltage to the wire ie. 8V instead of 12V, the choke will stay on a bit longer because the bi-metal spring will take longer to heat up. I guess this could be useful if you live in a very cold climate.

Thank you. I figured as much but just wanted to be sure rather than fry something.
