hi guys, yesterday i went to open the passenger door on my 62 signet 200, and the top hinge broke. ended up with a lap full of door. appears to be only the pin that goes through hinge is all that has sheared: the hinge itself looks ok. some rust in there finally caught up with the pin. my bad.

so was wondering about advice on where to get another pin, what to ask for, and any tricks of the trade to take the busted hinge off or replace pin most easily.

If you have a local old-fashioned hardware store with a selection of hinge bolts for ordinary house door hinges, that may be a quick way to get them. All the major car parts warehouses have door hinge repair sets of different kinds, but they tend to be more expencive.
