Does anyone know the spring rate of a left hand torsion bar part# ending in 623.

Also Josh or anyone, what issues do you have with KYB shocks being as I have already installed a pair on the rear of my Dart?

Torsion bar rates are in the sticky at the top of this category.

As for the KYB's, I'd say run them until they're worn out, and then you can upgrade if they left a little to be desired. Just my $0.02. I currently have them under all four corners of my Dart. I'll probably try the IAS in a few years?

I don't know torsion bars by part number. I have to measure them and looks at the chart. http://www.slantsix.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35999

If the KYB shocks aren't too harsh for you and you find the handling acceptable run them until they die.

Thx Zorg. I had read that previously. I also found some good info on Torsion Bar Tango at http://www.arengineering.com/articles/tbartango.html and http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/torsion.shtml but these sites did not cover the part number in question.

Have you heard of the 1/10th rule of thumb as described in the AR Engineering article listed above?

I'm thinking the .94 bars for 150lbs / inch will suit me best. I see the JS catalog is only offering the full 1 inch bars. I'm looking for good street handling manners without a harsh ride.

Also I'm wanting to find the best method for offsetting the camber for up to date handling with 50 series radial tires. I cant seem to find the Moog offset bushings.

Do LCA bushings typically need replacement? I haven't gotten that deep yet.

Does anyone have any comments on the factory pre-66 A body anti-sway bar?

The 1/10th rule is about suspension frequency. Essentially, the frequency has to be kept below a certain point to maintain an acceptable ride. It also means a heavier vehicle needs a higher spring rate to maintain the same frequency. Would you like to know more?

I guess I should have given you a ride in the Valiant to show you how tame 1.04" torsion bars can be.

K7103 is the Moog offset upper control arm bushing. With most street alignments you need one in each control arm at the rear. The hole goes toward the ball joint to effectively shorten the length of the control arm's rear leg.

Yes, lower control arm bushings go bad. Regularly. Most of the lateral load in on the lower control arm and that bushing.

Never had an early A-body with a factory front sway bar. I can say the frame hardware for the Addco sway bar is crap.
