I have looked but maybe not hard enough. Where can I find a new oil pick up for a '63 slant. Also I have acquired an alum oil pump that looks(impeller) to be a high volume pump. How do I find out, I have checked part #s but don't know manufacturer.

No new oil pickups for early A bodies, sorry. Measure the thickness of the oil pump impeller to see if it's stock or not. Go about 1/2 way down this page to see: http://www.slantsix.org/articles/oil-pu ... report.htm

No known sources for the correct 60-63 oil pick-up tube.
Most parts suppliers try to "cross reference" into the 67 & up pick-up tube which is not correct for the early a-body oil pan.

As for the die cast aluminum oil pump, the impeller should be .640 thick. (5/8")
A medium volume pump has a 7/8" (.875) impeller and the HV is 1 inch thick.
