I am looking at doing a super six on my 64 dart I know where there is a manifold and I would have to get a carb but that leaves me without the proper linkages. My question is how hard is it to make a linkage to work the kick down and the throttle and could anyone who has a super six on a old dart or vailant post me a picture of you setup.

Thanks 64drtgt

Hello and welcome. Most of what you need to know can be found in this article HERE

Your 64 has the rod style linkage, so you will need to swap to a cable style throttle linkage or get creative with mounting the carb and modifying your rod linkage.

On the early cars with the rotating-rod throttle linkage like yours, you will either need to change to a cable-type setup or put together a parallel 2bbl setup. that lets you keep the (slightly modified) stock kickdown and throttle linkage and accelerator pedal. Photo documentation of such a conversion (by this board's Old6rodder) is here.

Use the Bouchillon Performance kickdown cable kit. That will at least make the transmission linkage issue simple...
