Did A bodies (71 duster) ever come with them, or is there something easily adaptable? I have to replace the broken handle, but prefer to use a foot style one if the swap wasn't overly complicated.

A right hand operated handle would be nice option between the buckets.

I don't think A bodies got the foot brake until '73. You may be able to adapt a hand type from a later model car for between the seats.

The first (only) year for foot-operated parking brake on A-bodies was their last production year: '76.

Are the 71 hand pull assemblies the same as 76? If they are then I imagine the 76 foot brake assembly would interchange. Sounds like it would be a tough parts hunt though if its a 1 year only piece.

There are no '76 hand-pull parking brakes. The '76 A-bodies have foot-operated parking brakes.

Ahh ok I was thinking it would have been an option. I guess bolt on compatibility won't be possible.

60-62 A-bodies also had foot operated parking brakes. I doubt that they are easily adaptable to later models though.

If hunting junk yards isn’t an option in your area, like were I’m located, a new reproduction replacement handle is available.
