any chance for dyno numbers to compare to the power pipe or PP-DC?
We started with a direct replacement with larger than stock intermediate pipe of 3" with an exit of 2 1/4" This unit was small gain over stock on dyno. Stock manifold here.

This is the PowerPipe-SC Look how much quicker the torque comes in and the steady climb and fall. :D

Hope this helps with your question. This was the only one put on the dyno so far . I feel the DC and the True Flow design would be better yet Don 8)

so is there any chance you will have numbers for the DC and true flow in the future?

on the fence about which one...

These dyno charts are very helpful. I am looking forward to the next two (DC vs True flow) as well.
Did you say you had the long hookers charted as well and the Clifford shorties? This would make a heck of a collection of dyno charts and a good Engine FAQ sticky.

I am looking for what Doc was talking about in another post earlier this week, lots of torque at lower rpms vs max HP. My engine is built for more torque so I am looking for the best exhaust to make the most torque.

Thanks,

If the muffler has sufficient flow capacity a Y-pipe makes just as much power as duals with an X-pipe. It also weighs less and costs less.
Sufficient flow like a straight through muffler design? I will be testing the difference soon X plus Y and Y by itself. Yes it's a little heaver but I run two tail pipes as well. I will also save the weight and money for sure if it's not better.

The idea with both X and Y pipes is to combine pulses. I don't expect a benefit to using both together myself.
Thanks for your input on this Matt. Sometimes things just don't add up. I hope this is not one. Here we have proven X pipes work with allot of testing in their system. Many people here think like Joshua Skinner Y pipe and save the weight. We are glutton for punnishment my mother said all the time. Will it overcome the weight difference? I need to find out if this helps or not now with the :?: in my head.Feels allot better in the car, Have a good day all. :)

No problem, glad you like the sound! This was the first two chamber muffler I put together last week. I keep riding around waiting for drone. Up to 3500rpm steady running still no drone :D The air is not staying in either one of the chambers long :!: This is a good thing A. The cam is small 260-440 CompCams straight up in this motor.

I very, very, likely will buy a set simply based on how this twister Dude has listened to members. Deep inside we all respect sweat and fairness.

Time to take that info and sum it up. Too many cooks spoil the broth. God Speed twister. GL
