hello slantsix sages- was going to bother the doctor with this but decided to throw it out to the rank and file. i need a front emergency brake cable for a 77 dodge aspen wagon. no one in nj or america seems tohave one. they all tell me tojunk the tank. do any of you have one or know where i canget one fast? it is rusted to hell. it is the cable which is connected tothe emergency brake pedal. it is not the cables to the rear wheels or the intermediate cable. thanks tons callpaladin@aol.com

Sounds like a junkyard item. M body (Chrysler Lebaron/5th Avenue, Dodge Diplomat, Plymouth GrandFury) might work since they where based on the F body.

Yes, M body would work, I have done that one before, they were made to 1989. Find a parts store with either a Raybestos or a Bendix BOOK, NOT
just on computer. I think I saw them listed there. I will check when I get back to work, I came home 4 lunch. I can check this weekend to see if the one is still on my 80 Volare 2 door parts car, too.

According to the 1978 Parts Catalog all Volare, Aspen, LeBaron, Diplomats use that same actuator cable from your pedal to the maincable.

sounds like a 'fingers do the walking' type job...

good luck!
