I just went to a salvage yard to pick up a Dodge New Process 435 for a swap I am doing. When I got home and cleaned it up I discovered that the tag actually read Model Number 4530 with a 4.56 gear ratio...actually the this will work better than the 6.69 gear ratio of the 435.

Anyway I was wondering if anyone had any information on this transmission? From what I can tell it has all of the same features as the 435 (splines, front and rear retainers, top-cover, bolt pattern). The only differences I see are that it has PTO covers on both sides and the shift lever is slightly different (shorter).

So the 4530 is a 435 with two PTO ports?
