Looking Great. Let me know when your ready for the trim. I need to pull it up to the house and start dismantling it. I have order for some of the other parts.
Frank
I could use the trim any time. Maybe I could drive out and pick it up some weekend. And an another parts you might be able to part with.

I had the whole weekend to work on the car and man what a difference two days can make. Was able to paint all the stuff that can't be reached when the car is assembled and manged to mate the engine to the 904 tranny and get it in the engine bay. here are some pictures.

Bought some used tires and had them mounted this weekend, 225/45r17 on the front and 225/55r17 on the rear. Also tried my hand at painting last weekend but with some bad results (runs and sags) so I am wet sanding and will hope to paint again next week end. Made some center caps for my wheels out of some old 14" valiant hub caps I had. I really like the way they turned out.

Looking good! I like the red you chose, should look great once it's color sanded and rubbed/waxed. Lots of work but the reward trail's coming your way! Great job Joe...

Took the car out for a long awaited first drive. My wife and kids wanted to drive it in the local 4th of july parade. So I got motivated to get the last few things done to make it street worthy. Her are some pictures of its first trip out of the neighborhood. Was a little nervous it was going to behave badly during the parade but it ran like champ. Later on that day I took it up to 80 and still wanted to go faster. but I thought I should break it in a little longer first.

That is quite an accomplishment. Very nice! I wonder how it would do running down the Kearney, NE dragstrip??  :!:

Thanks for the nice comments. Its really not to fast has a highway gear in it so pretty slow of the line but cruises very well. So drag strips might be a little out of its league, but a car show would be a fun trip. The engine pulls really well between 1500 and 4500 RPM. Its fun to drive because no one know what it is when you stop at the gas station.

Joe

Those are 17" steel wheels from the new LX cars? Do they fit the front without any spacers? How wide are they? I was wondering if they'd fit. There's a nice AL 5-spoke rim that is 17" on some of the base models that I'd like to try...
