I've searched through numerous threads, but can't find what I'm looking for. I'm trying to hook up my EGR system on my 78 D100 with a BBD. Can I do this quick and dirty w/o using the vacuum amplifier-just a vac source from the carb through the temperature sensor in the radiator? If not, while I'm waiting for my factory service manual to arrive, does anyone have a map of the vac hose hookup through the amplifier? I don't have the 4 hose harness with the color coded markings. I'm doing this to hopefully eliminate a pinging problem after numerous carb adjustments w modified settings, checking for vac leaks, spring replacement and, different pot adjustment in the distributor. I'm currently running 10 degree base timing with a total of an additional 27 combined vac/mechanical advance. Get a heavy pinging when hot on a pull, or accellerating. Running a 180 stat, with a cold air kit to the carb.
Thanks- Mike

Several times they have been posted here and were pdf pages from the FSM.

Here is a good link with a nice pdf diagram

By chance, did you look at all of Dan's carb links?
You also can get them from doing a Google search....
