I'm currently putting together a turbo motor and with big plans for boost, I was hoping if you fellas could point me in the right direction from some good forged pistons either to buy from a company or if anyone has a set for sale. I'm looking for basically a stock forged piston because I dont want any added compression for the obvious reasons. Thanks for the help guys and any advice or information would be awesome I am traveling into new territory my current motor is NA then added 100shot so this turbo build is new territory.
Thanks Kev

Sounds like a great build, Kevin.

The Wiseco piston kit could be used with some head/deck milling and stock 225 rods to make ~ 8:1 comp. Otherwise, many piston companies could make you a forged piston to any dimensions for around $600-800 with rings and all.

Charlie may have a set of the old forged TRW's if you ask nice. Those are not made anymore, but sets are floating around.

Ya Charlie has thpaw magic TRW pistons you speak of he was pointing me towards a custom set since his pistons would cost me some cash anyway we'll see ill have to pick his brain. I though charrlie told me those weisco pistons were only high compresion and would have to be custom to get them for stock compression levels such as relocating the wrist pin which costs extra cash?? Also on a side note im not a genius when it comes to coming up with numbers and measurements for ordering this kinda thing to the compression ratio i would need do you think i could just send a stock piston and say i need 6 of these forged "just a thought"

Thanks Kev

One little tipI can give you about having custom pistons made, ask the price before you have any additional work done on them. Mike had a set of Ross made for me a while back. He had the pin moved and never asked the price figuring that since it was a custom anyway it wouldn't matter. It did, and it was $35 or so a piston for moving the pin height.
