So

Does anyone know where I can get some high compression pistons in Australia for my 225L slant 6?

I'm after getting a 10.0:1 ratio I know I have to measure the cylinders etc.

Wondering if there is a place I can get them where i don't have to order them as specifically custom pistons to save some money if you get what I mean :).

I had a look and found these:

http://www.campbellenterprises.com/slan ... istons.php

This is the first time I'll be buying new pistons, is this a decent brand etc? Am I getting what I am paying for?

I'd appreciate any help.

Thanks!

Those are the nice ones from Wiseco. We on this site worked with them to develop that design. They will not work easily with stock rods. You will either need the K1 7" rods, stock 198 rods, or mill/deck your head/block a lot to get compression back with 225 rods. Best by far is to use the K1 rods.

The prices they have there are excellent. Great deal on this kit.

Thanks very much :).

I thought it seemed like a good deal.

As I said I am very new to this, this'll be the first time that I'm going to open up the engine (Have a mechanical friend to help me).

When you say rods you mean, con-rods correct?

And one last thing, I thought these pistons made more compression because they were higher meaning less volume within chamber is that right?

Thanks, again sorry I am very new at this!

Hello,
Good pistons and rods, but shipping from USA will kill you with those.
I would suggest you ask the members on Mopar Market here in Oz,for something local.
Or, contact PPR HERE

regards,Rod :D

Yes, con-rods. Compression height is less (1.6") on the Wiseco's than the stock pistons (1.74"), so you need a longer rod.

I'm not sure shipping will be that bad. Maybe $100 for pistons and rods?? I don't know, but it's worth checking.
