Anyone know where to get a quality performance cam for the early slant 6? Nothing too big, but better than stock. Thanks

Some special cams have beend developed, so tell us what you're looking for so you can be pointed in the right direction.

I recently swapped the auto out for a 4-speed. My engine was rebuilt "stock", but I've added a set of Clifford shorty headers and the Offy 2-1bbl intake. I'm just looking for a cam that would give it more low end and maybe a 'lumpy" sound. No racing in mind, just street "coolness".

Well you can always tighten the lash .001 or .002 on a stocker cam and it'll get lumpy...

The ERson 270 cam would retain good torque and has a little lump of you ask for the grind to be 108LSA...problem here is, once you go to more cam, you have to increase compression to make up for the extra bleed off the bigger cam has.

If you are looking for more cam without having to do too much else the small erson cam/the MP "244" cam grind is best (and actually works better if you upped the compression to 9:1).

Im a Big Erson fan as well. But I would choose one of the RDP grinds that Doc did. I think there is a small modified RVcam that is RDP.
