Hi, Few questions some have been answered before some haven't and I just wanted to know peoples experience and what they think would be better.

I'm a young fella so I have to save for a while before I do something.

at the moment I have a 225 /6 in my 1967 vc valiant. I've put the new igniton and everything in, also with new bigger coil, putting in a 350 holley and long runner ram intake next. the head has been ported and polished, and extractors are in. I am hoping this means I'll be hitting 200HP or am i horribly wrong? Engine has been rebuilt in the last 5 years or so.

Next I was thinking to shave the head a little 0.100? to hopefully get around 9.5 comp (I know I have to do all the measurements first), wouldn't mind if I got 10.0:1 compression.

And put in bigger valves (unsure what sizes to put in here).

Then I was thinking of changing the cam.

Is this the best order to do things, shave, valves, cam?

At the end I am hoping for 250HP at the fly wheel. Or am I over estimating...

I know that's a lot of questions but if a few of you could help me out that would be great!

Your on the right track. Take most of the cut off the block rather than the head and then if you want to go turbo or supercharger later the head can still be used. Engine builder valves 1.77/1.44 are a good choice. Ford 300 valves also work well IF you plan to bore .080 or larger. The Ford valves are NOT drop in but are 1.78/1.50 and work well in high HP apps.

Will I get a noticeable gain from bigger valves? Or is this just better as I'll have higher compression etc.

I did compression with out going to bigger valves and could easily pull up to 5000rpm
