sorry, this is a stupid post, i searched google, and here for quite awhile, but i don't really know what to search to find what i'm looking for, so my searches all came up empty.

i have a 1965 225 slant six. i took the carb off (a holley 1920) to rebuild it, and lost a piece.

there is a funny looking metal clip, that holds the choke "wire" or rod, or line, whatever you call it, in place on the carb. i lost that little metal clip.

anyone got a part number, or an actual name of what that is so i can get a new one?

right now my choke is just kind of dangling there in the manifold, because that clip is missing, and the rod won't stay in the hole on the carburator.

Napa auto has those on the boards that rotate in the ailses , just ask the counterman .

I had given up on ever finding one, and drilled a hole in the end and installed the smallest cotter pin I could find.

It's 10 months since the above post, and 2 years since doing it, and the cotter pin has torn that hole open on one side leaving that solution forever unviable.

The only online source I've found for the clip online (that isn't asking a silly price for it) is Mancini Racing.

They will not send me one as it isn't enough for a minimum order. (There's not much they sell that could pad up the order. It's not like I'm racing a 6 cylinder van anytime soon.)

Does anyone have a 1/8" choke rod clip they could sell me?

If you have a local auto parts store that has the wall of Dorman drawers full of nuts, studs, connectors, one drawer will have a bunch of these...

Since last posting on this thread I made my own clip out of stiff wire using jewelry pliers. It held up ok until I changed the choke recently. (I was actually going to post a step by step tutorial if it held up better. The wire lost some resiliency from heat cycling, then could not stand up to being removed and reinstalled.)

I still have my "can"...
