Erickson's brothers is really @$$#&!%.
First round in Samoa against Guzzi mark, the bottom yellow wasnt working and told to rerun THAT DANNY WAS OKAY WITH IT.
David Erickson call me bullshit, that I did the samething last night what the hell he talking about cause the light wasnt working on my nova that went red at the bottom that my car didnt move and they say okay rerun again and went same thing. So danny check my wheel and I was about 3/4 inch before the bottom light out and I was okay so had to rerun again. it worked. that was differet story so wtf u talk about david?
U dont trust me or my dad cause we are so good racing driver. After calling me bullshit and calling me names. well screw David and Wayne Erickson. they dont know nothing about racing. see u at Sac raceway, going to beat your damm assssss. I will join differet team. Just cause they hate me and my dad cause we are the BEST RACING DRIVER..................................

I think the difference here is that both racers left the starting line and ran down the track and got time slips with Mark being declaired the "winner" on the slips.

It is up to the driver to check the track's work.
If the track posts an incorrect dial-in, don't stage-in.
If the staging lights are not working right, back-out of staging.
If the tree "drop" malfunctions, don't leave the starting line & back-out.

Once a race is run and timeslips issued with a winner declaired, it is hard to justify a re-run.

One other note, the race (run) before and the race after the run in question, ran fine so it is hard to tell if there was a problem with the lights on your run.

(Just my 2 cents... I was on the return road so I did not see what happened)

If you're going to name names and slander people, post your own name.

And yes, I know who you are, and it sounds to me like you just can't cut a light.

At Mason Dixon, we had the top yellow light not light while staging. While creeping up to the line the top yellow never lit and "boom" the bottom yellow is on and since we were expecting a top yellow first, now we are in too deep and the red light is on. Luckily these were during time trials. But sometimes the lights do funky things too. If this was during a race is the proper thing to do back out even if the lights come down and your opponent leaves. You are not supposed to back up, and you don't have time to anyhow. Plus your red light is on. Just wondering.

Hope you fellows can work this out. I like to see things work well among our Slant 6 friends.

Rick

He can and does cut very good lights.I didnt have a clue what was going on.I sat there for 1.31 seconds before I took off with my green light blaireing, wondering why he hadent taken off cause I had to give him like 5 seconds.I told him I would gladly give a re run but was told no, the run stands.I just wanna race and have fun,and not feel bad.I feel bad and think it should have been a re run.Guzzi Mark

You will have a better case for a re-run if you don't make the pass but I agree, it is hard to sit there on the starting line or back-out, if the tree does a "funny drop".

I was going to stay ouy of this but I cant help myself.
Glen Terry has done more for slant six racing than anyone else on the West coast . Everywhere we go he promotes sl.6 and encourages additional members. His son John is by far the best racer in killer bees bar none... but there are a bunch of hypocrites who will do anything to keep the Terrys from winning. Why, because they win too much, so what, drag racing is a brutal sport, you lose and you go home.
I consider myself a pretty good racer and get my butt kicked quite often, so what, do better next time. This is a competition... all social activities and friendships will survive but when you race, you race to win.
I had a lot of friends and competitors there this weekend and received several calls from non slant six racers about what a screwed up deal this was. Should have been a rerun ,period.
Should have been decided by the two participants and all the others should have stayed out of it. The tree malfunctioned period.
I will not participate in killer bee racing again. I will be at Kearney and may go to the south next year where they race to win, for money and and make no excuses,
I hope Seymour wasn't exposed to any of this uglynesss.

Doc you are right but, this wasnt about dial ins ,the tree went instant green on Johns side, you try to cut a light when you are expecting three ambers and you get a green.
I left sunday morning but i have it on good authority the track left it up to the participants and both were willing to rerun but others intervened to prevent it . They threatened to take their toys home if Mark rerun. Most racers would, without question, agree to a rerun.

Sounds like a lot of mess for one single goofed up run. I hope this does not cause anyone to permanently stop racing with Slant Sixers anywhere.

Ask Phil Stoneback about the rerun at Pittsburgh in 2008... He was a stand up guy and didn't let that deter him from racing with a great group. Tracks and people make mistakes, and that is inevitable.

Best wishes to everyone,

Lou

Mark,

You did nothing wrong and are a stand-up guy. You should be congratulated on your record! So congratulations!!! :D It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to break a record like this. Hats off to you.

Rick

yea mark did came up to me to see what happen and told him what happen and mark say lets rerun. I wasnt mad at him. so we agree to have rerun then David walk up to calling me a names.

Doug was right that I should have back up. but I was about to get ready to go when yellow didnt show up. so i step the gas and didnt mean to gooo that why I drove slow down the track. After everyone left, Mark and the guy from another state was only there that I walk to him to congrats their records. We laugh some and jokes

I agree with Sergio to travel East. I dont have that much money to travel.

Right now my feeling is that Erickson's is not doing the right things to me and my dad.

I am here to win or loose that doesnt mean I want to win the whole things if someone beat me.

Now I dont have no car to races that my dad say the dodges is park and is done thanks alotttttttttttttt

hey mark just go sacto raceway, u will love that track.

:D :D :D :) :) :) :) :) :)

Ok, it's over, John, lets move pass this...
P.J. would never play games, she is a very straight shooter, so please lets not get the whole group into taking sides. I called Marc and he has nothing to feel bad about,it happened , and there is no sure thing in drag racing... Mark could have won the rerun.
There is not a conspiracy against you,as in any group, people form friendships and have different interest . As far as i know you are very well liked, this is one bad incident and hopefully there will be some private discussions with the individual regarding insults and uninformed accusations. I have had two such occurances with the same individual. Please handle this in private and continue racing ,you are one a great racer and one of the guys i like to run against and hopefully beat you.
