I was able to make 3 passes before being asked to not make any more passes. I was hoping to get that 10.99. Next accessory is a cage.

Weather was great except for the 15mph head wind plus gusts. The car was a handful on the big end.

Boost was at 22-3psi, MT ET Street Radials 255/60/15

Best launch was foot braked @ 8psi. I still have a high speed miss that did not go away with plugs, cap, rotor, so I shifted at 5000rpm. 3300 lbs race weight.

This may not seem much faster than the old motor but remember this is with 7-8psi less boost.

great job man ! looks like you'll have to shed a little weight and install a cage or head to milan, they don't care on t.n.t or no et if your too fast for a cage.anyway keep on tuning. what gap are you running on your plugs I had a miss and it was too wide a gap.I am running .025 now

I tried that too. Went from .024" to .021" on the plug gap.

That is movin'. Congrats on the improvements. 10s should be no problem. Looks like Ryan P will have to step it up to stay ahead of you! Can't wait until Nick puts his Valiant together. Looks like in November I will make a trip up to MN to install the turbo on the '68 Dart.

Thats awesome, sounds like you got plenty of potential still left in that motor. Did you notice any rpm difference using the weisco/k1 stuff compared to the stock rods/pistons?

Hey Greg...that guy was a total bone head. I hope to turn up the wick a little...may not be this year though...we will see :P

Kev, I didn't notice any RPM differences using the new combo. Once I get the mis taken care of I think my shift point will be in the 5500rpm range.

If the stars align, I think this motor might have a 10.50 in it. Because of the crappy stock arms (and PTV) I have only .452" lift at the valve intake and .440" lift at the valve for exhaust. I have intake room for the 1.57 ratio arms that I made. I might try those one day. I will need longer pusrods though.

Are you happy with your cam choice for the new motor? I'm just curious im still kicking around what kinda of specs to use for my turbo motor camshaft. Your cam is 114lsa and in the 220's duration @.50 if my memory serves is there anything you would change? How come you went with .475 lift was that all you wanted or all that would work for your motor isnt the bigger lift the better?

I'm happy with the cam. It's the rocker arm ratios that are poor. The cam's intent is tri-purpose. Power, economy, and drivability. So far it seems to be doing everything.

I started installing an electronic distributor last night in hopes of it curing my high speed miss. The above passes were short shifted at 5000rpm. I'm hoping to eventually shift at 5500-5700rpm. The engine was still pulling at 5k. The right shift points might be a tenth or so.

Ryan, I wish I was at your race weight!!...we might be neck and neck...I have to add weight now. :(
