Hi there

This weekend, I finally manage to get the dart on the hydraulic ramp and inspected all the bushings and identified what needs to be replaced/repaired.

Image

Very "weird" HotBits exhaust on the car rite now, which needs to go...
Image

Fuel tank is out for cleaning, and found out the float is broken, no wonder indicator not working
Image

Image

The motor needs a good clean and mountings are badly cracked/hoses need replacement
Image

Bushings set has been ordered from Australia. Apparently the Valiants bushings are identical and I save a lot of shipping cost...

Will update you guys as the project goes on...

Cheers and thanks for all the help.

Thats why all of that water is back there in those photos. 90 degrees and working on the dart all day makes you thirsty

Took the OLD oil filter out just to make sure that the one I ordered matches and look at what I found...

MOPAR!

It looked like it came off the factory in '66! What the... ! :)

I dont know maybe im wrong, but the filter looked at least 20 years old to me... meaning all this while they never serviced the engine! Arrggghhh...

The car is in good condition, is going to be interesting to see when you remove the paint from the bodywork and see if it has rust damage, at first look it seems to be a good piece. Congratulations.

However, I would have taken the opportunity to upgrade to a dual chamber master cylinder...

Dual chamber with FOUR 9" drums wont go hand in hand in my opinion :)
