How would you rate the following intake manifolds in my quest for a 14 second daily driver Using a 450 Holley Carb?
Offy
Clifford
Hurricane
H-Pak

Price matters but I have to give a TON of style points to the H-pak

I've run the Holley 0-1848 450 cfm carb on my Hpak and it didn't produce the mpg I was looking for, nor did it produce the power I was wanting to get...I think the better compromise would be the 500cfm Edelbrock of either type (AVS/AFB)...The Holley 8007-390cfm produces good mileage, but shorted me about .5 seconds at the track (too small)...The 600 cfm holley with four barrel annular boosters gave better track time, but mileage went down...

Hpak if dialed right can give good performance but limits your "band" to the 3500-5500 rpm for the ram tune effect...which leaves not much for the street without some compromise...the shorter manifolds would be easier, but will lack the fat torqueband the Hpak has in the mid-range...

I run a Clifford on my race car with a 600 holley and have run mid 11s.I ran the same manifold and carb when I was driveing it on the street with a milder engine and it was a low 13 second car, very well behaved and was around 2500 lbs with me in it.I ran high 13s with a 500 2bbl and would have done even better if I had played with it more, very streetable.Guzzi Mark

Hard to argue with simplicity and street/track of an Offy with a 500 Edel on it. With the fairly mild buildup you are talking, I would do that. I can say that the Aussiespeed I have has excellent throttle response - amazing, considering the long runners. I have a Hly 500 2bbl on that right now.

I am leaning toward the Aussie Speed 4V with my 450 holley.
If not that, then it's the Offy.
