Thanks very much for the detailed responses guys. Helps to know what our options are, for some of us less experienced with the heads and what fittings are there, or in this case NOT there for us to alter and retrofit.

HyperValiant, thanks for the photos. But I'm confused by what I'm seeing, and I cannot see the alternator in the photos anywhere. What side of the engine is your alternator mounted on? Rlklaus and I both have cars with the alternator mounted right where your A/C compressor is right now.

Shimos, please post pics of that MoPar Airtemp unit. I would really like to see what it looked like.
