Im just a little confused about my brake pedal.

Image

My car is an AUTO but the brake pedal looks like the ones for the Manual. Isn't the Auto brake pedal something wider like this?

Im just wondering why the brake pedal is so small. And how easy it is to change to the wider ones?

Cheers

Syed

The RHD brake pedal for automatic transmissions is like the one you have pictured. My guess is that the larger pedal would not give you a place to put your right foot when braking with the left. The other explanation is that for inventory purposes, only the small pedal was used eliminating the need to stock and support the larger pad.

Perhaps an Aussie or Kiwi can step up here with an answer.
