Here is a link to a video of the 2010 Mason Dixon Race. It has some of the time trials, and all of the elimination rounds. This is the Saturday Night Race that Greg Ondayko won. The video was taken by my wife, so some of the background comments may be biased my way :) Let me know if the link doesn't work. If you have a good internet connection you can turn the video quality up, (sorry if you have dial up) it looks much better that way. I put the 1/4 mile times and Mph on the elimination rounds.

The video looks good Ryan. However, knocking your dad out in the first round was pretty low! :D Especially since I put your engine together!! Let's just say you burn me a copy to CD and we'll call it even.

Rick ( Dad)

Finals had Greg as the winner, and Chris Evrard as R/U. Both guys had good runs but Greg was really on his game.

Greg was very consistent Saturday, and his reactions were good too. I think my favorite part of the video is Chris (red dart) squealing the tires on every take off. Its hard to believe how consistent he ran that way, with the 4 speed even.

That was really entertaining, hats off to you on the editing. Some of these four speed cars were really consistent. What rpm are you leaving at? what rear gear? Do you know how much HP you car is making?
Love those videos.
Thanks & regards
Derek

Derek,

I was leaving at about 3500 rpm, It was still spinning the tires off the line even with the street slicks, but it would bog if I left at lower rpm. I am running 4.30 gears but I have over drive, so its not so bad on the street. The calculators say my car running 14.8 1/4 is making 215 rwhp, and with a 50 shot of nitrous running 14.06 it is making 255 rwhp. I don't know how accurate the hp calculators really are, and i've never been on a dyno.

For anyone who is interested I updated the video, corrected some errors, and added some slide show pictures from the weekend. It is about 2 minutes too long to post on youtube, but if anyone wants a dvd made I can make some when i get time, and mail it to you. Let me know if you want a copy.

Thanks Ryan, your car works good. I'm hoping mine will run that strong when finished. I have a very similar build. I thought I would try drag shocks at the drag strip, I have Cal Tracs and frame ties as well.

Thanks & regards

Derek
