Mark, send me one of those pictures for inspiration at the shop. I found some cheap barn door style hinges at the hardware store that I think I can make work. They will require some work and lining up the door afterwards could be quite a job but might save 2#. Every little bit helps. My seat belt anchors were way too heavy, a couple of 7/16 eyebolts and big washers will do the same thing and save about a pound. Keep the faith.

Thanks Mark, I got the picture today and put it up in my garage along with the picture of your car at Las Vegas and that 200MPH 64 Valiant with the V-8 alky blower motor. I made my first cut into the frame connectors tonight. A piece 15" long and 1 1/4" wide and .080" thick weighed 180 grams.
