Hello all,
It's been awhile since I've posted on this forum under nln6pony and my account had been closed. I hope that I'm not out of line by posting here 1st But was wondering if it would be possible to get this race on your event calender for 2011?.
The race will be part of the Southwest Nostalgia drags/ Standard1320.com event. The race will be at Speedworld Dragstrip. There are a handful of Fordsix racers here in Az and we would like to invite you to come race with us that weekend. I know the the Mopars at the Strip event is a couple weeks later ,maybe some of the Az & So-Cal guys could use it as a tune up race.I would also like to see if anyone is interested in setting a race or two here in the future?
I had a friend back east send the link to Mark(MadMax)runs in his car. Also Wills' blue Cuda is inspiring me to get my car finished.

Thanks Rich

Just an update on the info for the race, ClassicInlines.com has put up $!,000 dollars for the purse. Right now the purse is $500 to win, $250 runner up & $125 to the semis.
Also gate fee will be $25 and the race entry fee will be $25 aswell which the entry fee will go towards the purse .At this time I am waiting to here from another potential sponsor which may add more to the existing purse.

Here is the link from the track for local hotels , the 1st 2 are the closest and are right on Grand Ave( US 60). There are also several places to eat everything from the normal burger places aswell as Sports bars (Applebees etc) to the Golden Corral buffet to places such as RedLobster within about 10 miles of the track..

How does this compare time wise to the Vegas event?
It might be worth going to Vegas if I can race 2 weekends in a row.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and going to try to make the race.
The first time I ever raced my Slant was at SpeedWorld. Nice place and easy to find.

TnT Distributing (Torco Oil) here in Phoenix has also put up $100.00 towards the purse for the race and I would like to thank them for their support of the race.

Evenin Folks Just wanted to let everyone know the date for the race has been changed to March 6th due to a scheduling conflict between NHRA and another AZ track. The weekend will be a full Nosatlgia weekend with the NHRA Heritage series being there aswell. The 50th anniversary festivities will be held on this weekend aswell.I apologize for any inconvienences this change may cause. Rich

If it is a 2 day event, I think it is a location that Kev and I would consider attending.. just a bit further then Las Vegas for us so it's a feasible trip.. I'd also like to mention that I've noticed on several occassions that some of you were unable to attend events due to funds.. You know we can get a good sized room or suite that we could fit several into and it would just be everyone chipping in a bit.. With a kitchen I'd volunteer to cook.. Anyhow, just wanted to mention that..

Debbie
