I'm rebuilding my 170 for high performance naturally aspirated use and I expect it to see some fairly high revs. I think I read somewhere that you should use the grooved main bearing in both halves to increase oiling to the rods. Is this sound advice? I want the bottom end to live.

Thanks,

Frank

I use full grooved mains in my engines. Check out the articules section, for oil system mods.
