One of the irksome low budget tasks I would like to accomplish this winter is to improve the condition of my car’s trim. It will need to be gently removed to be straighten, dents removed, buffed, and than coated.

I’m not sure how to remove the top of body’s “crease trimâ€￾ running the full length of the Dart. I have discovered that it is attached at each terminus with a bolt & nut, but just how dose one release the center portions from its clips?

Very carfully slide the moulding foward or aft after you unbolt the ends.Better than prying it off.The mouldings have openings towards the ends that the clips release from. Do your best to save the plastic clips as the replacements are not the same, close, but the originals retain the mouldings better.When I redid my 67 I found this all out. Also found that two different types of clips were used from left side to right.My 67 Dart had pin retension on one side and holes on the other. The car had all original sheet metal,never painted, was one owner and never in a accident. Just one of Ma Mopar's assembly line practices of when you run out, use what ever is handy. Good looking Dart...
