Hey fellas!

This is my daily driver, a '63 Dart 270. I picked her up from Vacaville, CA last summer. When I got her, she had been sitting since '99 in the guy's backyard. Before that, she was his daily driver. She wasn't running, and the previous owner had decided to experiment with different colors on the whole car, so the exterior had a primered door, the trunklid was covered in black spray paint from paint car parts on it, and the interior has teal paint on certain areas. I towed it to my uncle's yard in Williams, CA [maybe some of you know him? John Fowlie, Big M Automotive], and I did a full tune up, rebuilt the carb, checked the brakes, added any fluids that needed to be added, and that was it. That's all it took, and that Slant Six started up and has given me 5k problem free miles since. That was August 2010. All I did for the exterior was new tires, and a few cans of spray paint, and the outcome is how she looks today. I have plans for paint and wide white walls, but for now she gets plenty of daily looks and the constant thumbs up. I love this car! I have owned Hondas, Oldsmobiles, Chevies, and Toyotas from the 90s, and this car has been more reliable than any of them. Now for the pics!

Before, when I first picked her up:

Here's how she looks now:

She has the 225 1bbl with 3-on-the-tree. Needs a few odds and ends but its the best daily driver ever. On top of being beyond reliable, I get to drive a classic everyday, like it should be. [I hate new cars.]

Oh and I'm Allan, I'm 19, and I live in Reno, NV. Here's a pic to put a face with the name.

Me with my project [and the car I have always wanted], Goldy. A '57 Plymouth Belvedere.

Glad to be here, guys!

Nice car! You'll find a lot of '63 owners here in the forum.

That project car is interesting, it sort of reminds me of a moviestar or movie or something... :D

Olaf.

It's good to see you save that car from being parted out or crushed eventually. How are the column shift bushings? I had a 67 Cuda for a while with the column shift and that thing was wore the hell out.

Oh the shifting components are sloppy. I've just mastered where to do what with it when shifting, but it definately needs to be overhauled.

As for my project, yeah her younger sister IS Christine. I love that Plymouth, can't wait to get started on the restoration. :D

Welcome aboard. I have a Forward Look Mopar as well and have come to hear about your Uncle through ForwardLook.com.

Great to see another early A-Body back on the road.

Nice cars! I would just about kill for a '57 or '58 Belvedere/Fury. I wonder if you can guess my favorite "B" movie....

I love the interior of your dart, it looks awesome!

Hopefully I will meet you at a Redding or Medford race!
