At the risk of asking a question thats been done to death.
Is there a set of basic proven formulas for an engine build?
I've built one for my brother some time ago, just the basic. Milled head, Clifford manifold, headers. Got the Barracuda up to more or less stock small block levels. Seemed like a good balance for a pretty much stock motor, and mostly nuts&bolts stuff.
Unfortunetly this car was lost while in storage to a barn fire. Tragically not the only car lost, as Roberts friends Ferarri collection was also in the barn.
Back to the point. A quick list of basic proven builds would be handy for those of us that lack the funds for experimentation.

There is an Engine Build Matrix in the sticky Frequently Asked Questions in the engine section that will provide some alternative solutions.

There is also a resent thread just some lines down from this thread in the engine index, 70valiant' engine build for 200 HP. I hope you find what you seek.

Olaf.
