Who's been avoiding? If you make it past the first round I will be there. Heck if I took your $50 bucks I would have to go out and buy myself some Bagels!!!!

Drake is a duck come and get some!!! Bring lots of sauce because we go down hard!!!!!!!!!

Figured if I rattled your cage you might wake up. :D

How about this for every .00 light you cut this weekend I will send Seymour $20 for the newsletter and for every .00 I cut this weekend you send Seymour $10. Practice, Regular race and Slant 6 race rounds count.

Tom

it aint over till I bag me a possum.

Well, I'm not going to make Wilkesborro. It was iffy, but was trying. Just got word, my wife's brother died. We will be going up to New Jersey, for the funeral, instead.

Unfortunately Wilkesboro won't be my first slant six race. I had 3 days to ready the car trailer and get the miss out of the tow truck. The car and trailer are ready but I have spent 2 days looking for the miss. I think I have located it but won't know for sure till late this afternoon which doesn't give me time to make the 12 hour drive.:(
I'll see you guys in GA next month.
Charlie and Peg, sorry to hear the bad news. I'll call next week when your back.

Cecil

Halfway through the second round it started raining hard and it was 9 pm. They were supposed to have run it on Sunday, but I haven't heard yet what happened. I think Dale, Ron H, Ron P, Charles M, and Tom D were still in. Charles had to go home and couldn't come back so that left it at 4 cars. Very close racing there as always.

A few new faces were there, so that was very good. Larry from High Point, NC ran his '71 Valiant and a guy (sorry can't remember name) was watching (from near Danville, VA) and is building a mid-60s Valiant. A few of the local Wilkesboro guys also ran a '70 Dart and '73 Duster with Slants as well.

15 cars made 1st round. All the slow cars went out to leave the heavies for the second round. Seymour made it down from MN (21 hours!!) and it was great to see him as always. His street car just keeps getting faster. Said he has run 14.15 @97 with it so far with 2.0 60 fts and there is a little more left in it.

Cheers,

Lou

I think 9 cars were on display up until around 12:30. Then everyone grabbed a bite to eat and headed for the track. We all got to sit around and chat without having to race to the line every 30 mins.

Doug I emailed you some pictures last night. Let me now if you do not receive them.
