I am about ready to take my Dart to the strip, Paradise Drag Strip in Calhoun, 1/8 mile.
What is a good 1/8 mile time for a stone stock '63 dart with
225, automatic, 3.23:1 and tallish 195/75R14s?
This is just for $#!+ and giggles and to get some baseline numbers.

I would Think Low 11's in the 1/8th is purdy good for a stocker.

That's what my Dart swinger Did back in 2003ish. Mostly stock.

it now runs 9.47~9.5's in the 1/8th.

Somewhere between 10.5 and 12 sec.

Fun little track. We did a couple of slant six races back in the mid 2000s.

Still haven't made it to the strip. Was all ready today but got rained out. Maybe next week.

Glad you had fun! I bet you can knock off 0.5 sec with some more tuning. I guess your new hot motor will go in fairly soon?

Hope we get to see you at a Slant 6 race or two this year!

It might be a li'l while before the Hot Rod motor goes in. Got'a get a converter and a few more things before that happens.

I think my next move is to recurve my distributer and go with some shorter wider tires. Might try some jetting changes in the 1920 as well.

Slant six racing sounds awesome. I will check the schedule and we will see.

Very cool! I'm glad you made it out and had fun.

Paradise is the home track of none other than Ron "Possum" Parker and Norm Foster (both from Dalton).

Another good friend of mine, Gerald Wright, also runs there in his black '80s Charger with a stroked small block running low 6's.

Paradise is a great little track with nice folks running it.

Keep us posted as the "Slanted Addiction" gets worse,... and worse,... and worse!  :D
