i have a 1965 dodge dart with a slant six i think its a 173 but not sure i jus now its smaller than the 225 but my question is how do i find out what kind of transmission i have i have taken it out once before and knows its has to cables coming from the tranny and its a colum shift any help would be great im looking to get it rebuilt or rebuilding it myself it burnt out during the summer made the mistake of letting my sister use it and she ran it dry for a month with no fluid then she filled it with synthetics

A904 is the transmission model. If your car wasn't built with a 225 and it's a 6-cylinder then it's a 170.
