Well we found out the new Aussie Speed Headers fit the 170 engines from 1967 and up A bodys.
I had hope they would but didn't have a 170 car to try them on. PM me if you need a set.
Thanks,
Frank

Could you remind me again the fitment problem on the early As? I don't think I want to pay my fabricator to build me headers.

Frank, would that include power steering cars as well?

I know from the fit of my Clifford headers on a 225, the adjustment bolt on top of the PS gear is right on one of the tubes requiring a dimple for clearance.

I assume you mean they don't fit 66-down. If so, that is a pity.

What is the going rate now, and where are pics located?

Lou

No they dont fit 66 down that we know of. Again I DONT have a 170. Charrlie did the fitment test on the 67 up. I believe he has some pictures. Power steering looks OK.
Cost is high as OZ Dollar is 1 to 1 with US.
$550 Shipped to your door in the lower 48.
I post more details as I receive them.
Frank

So, Charlie has not tested them on a 66-down 170 A-body? I'm still confused.

A friend receintly bought a 67 Dart with a 170. I did a test fit of the Aussie headers, on his car. When the bad 170 gets pulled, I will do a test fit with the 225 engine, that will be going in. I haven't had time to pull the intake/exhaust off my 66 Cuda with the 170 to check on the fit. I am supposed to get my 65 Valiant back, the weekend of March 19th, so I will be able to check the fit on that car, with both the 225 and 170 engines. It is set up with both a empty 170 and 225 block and a empty head. So, hopefully, I will have news in about two weeks.

Not yet, Mark. I just got my 65 Valiant back this weekend. Will probably get to try fitment on that car next week.
