Ok so relative to my other post, ive come to find when I turn the engine by hand the rotor does not move, and if it does it kinda twitches a bit. Am I correct in assuming its the drive gear, and just needs replaced? when I turn the engine over I hear the compression so im also assuming that its not the chain. Need some clarification, thanks guys

Sounds like you have it figured out, remove distributer replace gear.

Yea I pulled the gear, and like a ton of pieces of it as well. Problem solved
