Yes I do have a automatic Transmission on my Dart Slant 6, so, that means that I really have to install the super six intake that I have in my garage....so I get more power to move the car uphills.

any ways...I'll go through the challenges, and if later on I find a 340, I'll installe it in the car, mean time I'm happy with the way the car runs in the hig way/City Stock.

I had a 2.45, 8.25 axle in my '65. I was also running the '64 3.09 first gear 4 speed, and it worked OK. I was able to run around town in 4th at 1000rpm without any problems. It wasn't fun in stop and go on steep hills though.

I don't know how it will work with an automatic. But I suspect you will not be happy. Not a low enough first gear and bad gear spacing compared to the 4 speed. But then hills shouldn't be a problem, no clutch dancing required.

I also prefer the 3.5 setup that I updated too, even thou it took some time to get used to. The engine seemed to be turning over too fast... Let's see 3200rpm is now around 70, 3200 before wasn't a legal speed in the US.
