Looks nice, Rick. Um, aren't you going to paint the car before installing weatherstrip/windshield and such??

No,

I really don't have the money right now to get it painted. So he is going to just paint the window channels for me and then I will install the windshield..etc. It will just have to be in primer until I save up some $$$. But most all the hard work will be done.

Rick

Very excited to see the paint color, even just on the windshield area. We have a little change of plans as far as paint and Rob will be back on Thursday to paint the A pillar and the rest of the interior parts that I want Teal. Then on Saturday he will paint all the door jams, trunk seal area and the area behind the fenders at the side of the cowl. Basically what he will be doing is painting everything except the outside. Then it can all be assembled and raced at Mason Dixon, and then when I have the money we can just paint the outside, without having to diassemble a bunch of stuff!

Alright Rick!!!

With all the hard work you put into organizing that race event, it will be good to see you racing your car this time!

I appreciate all the encouraging words. I think I'm better than 50/50 that the car will be there. I really have made a lot of progress. When you see shiny new paint it really is exciting. You can't see the color real good on such a small area, but there will be a lot more painted by Saturday.

Rob came over this afternoon and painted the Rear window frames, A-Pillar and the sedan post on the inside as well as the piece above side panel in the rear. We hung and adjusted both doors and then pulled the pins and removed them. The door jams and around the trunk area gets painted Saturday morning! WOO HOO!!
More Paint!!

We re-taped the car and got the jambs and the trunk seal area painted this morning. The color is more of a torquois than teal. Now what? A name change? :D

Looks great, Rick. That doesn't look teal to me, more like B3 medium blue metallic?

Yep, it sure is much more blue than I originally thought. The indoor photos with flash make it look more blue yet. I don't care. It looks really nice to me.

Rick :D

I gotta say, I am really very excited to see this car coming together. I have been following since the first post, and your progress has got me all bent on wanting to do things to my rigs. Just waiting on some decent weather, I have one of those special "Roof-less, and wall-less" garages... I think they are referred to as a driveway...

Really looking forward to seeing the car completed! Go Rick!
