Since I have this with my engine I am building I want to use it. I have yet to call Clifford but will.
.494"/276/238

What compression and what stall speed is recommended?

I am running Cliffords 310 grind, with 1.6 rockers 600 lift,270 duration both sides, centerline 104. Final compression with a .020 head gasket was 13.20:1. Running a Continental 5000 stall converter. Had 4.30 gears with 26'' tall tires but now running 3.73 gears. Last time out ran a 13.43 @ 98 mph. Just some extra info.

I'm thinking 10.5:1 compression ratio, degree the cam to 100-102° ATDC intake centerline and a 10" or 9.5" converter with 3000 RPM stall speed. More stall speed for a strip car with steep gears, but not much less than 3000 for a street car. Also, I wouldn't try anything less than 3.23 gears, probably 3.55s. Strip duty will want something steeper.

I don't think I would trust anything Clifford would say, these days. Josh has everything recommended right. I wouldn't go below about 10:1 comp or 2800 stall.

Oh I do have faith is Josh's suggestions. I was just hoping to have some specs on the cam.

Me... I would use a smaller cam in a street car, especially if it has a auto trans and street gearing.

Doc, I understand the logic of that but this is a low budget project and I need to use the things I have when ever possible.
The 8.75 I have is 'SPOSE to be a 3.91. We shall see.
