I have seen discussions recommending a specific NGK for up to 74 heads, but what about later models?

You're stuck with the UR-5 NGK plugs for good quality.

I have a special case and use AC Delco RTS-45 plugs because for some reason UR-4 is too hot and UR-5 is too cold....for some reason the AC delco plug is just right...

The "peanut plug" head doesn't have an extended electrode version in the automotive world. I did some "plug" research and there is one offered...but it's only for airplanes and the cost for 6 would buy you a new set of pistons and pushrods....(and who knows what the heat range is on that thing....)

I've done some experiments, using a dremel and cutting down the threading on a TR-4...but I'm not sure if the weld for the electrode would hold under higher compression...my current experiment is whittling down a set of spark plug anti foulers for the BL plug and rethreading them so they can be fitted to the drool tube plug but have the tapered shoulder for the BL head...if I can get a mock up, I have a friend taking machining at the local community college and have him fab up a set of 12 to see if they will hold and work properly.

Good Luck,

Are you serious?

I need to get a good plug for my propane engine... was about to ask the same question...

I ran a set of E-3's in my wife's Neon for a while, looked pretty good when they came out for their age. Anyone tried e-3's in a slant?
