I have a 62 7 1/4 diff that I want to get rebuilt.
What are the best place(s) to get the gears from?
Is LSD an option with these diffs? Any things to look-out for with my rebuild?

The biggest thing to "look-out for" is the 7 1/4... for me, it is a waste of money to rebuild them.
You will be best served to find a different unit.

I think your best option, since your in Aus, is to get a Borg Warner diff from a later model Valiant. Any diff from VC to VG will slot straight in. You will need to get a shorter drive shaft or have yours modified. Once you've got the BW you'll have a lot more options. I believe the 7 1/4 is very limiting in Aus with regards to parts, and it may also become very stressed if you start throwing more HP through it.

The other good thing about using the Borg Warner is 28 spline LSD units are easy to find and there are some Ford axles that can be used.
(EB Falcon onwards, and some shortening required)

Dosnt the Borg Warner start from VE onward?
How can u tell the difference from an early diff to a later model?
Any recommendations on where to get 1 these BW units or where to get it rebuilt?

Chrysler Aus changed to the Borg Warner diff part way through the VC model run.

Jump onto http://www.moparmarketforum.com/forum/index.php and do a search, you will get all the info you need on BW diffs.

VL Commodore's are an easy to find source for used 3.45 ration crown and pinion also.

Thanks for the help guys, diff all done. I actually had a vc borg Warner in my car! I replaced the diff many years ago cause I blew the original one! I ended up getting a reconditioned LSD centre out of a zj fairlane which had a 2.92 ratio then I got it installed with a 3.50 set into my valiant diff. Hopefully it runs well.
