After my tech training, I'll be looking for a 225-powered Duster or Dart Swinger to build into a true "Zilla Killa" street rod. Anyone live in or near Texas or know where I'd find one around the Dallas area?

I'm hoping to be able to do a complete frame-off restoration. I'm talking the whole schmear. Sandblast and powdercoat the frame, FULL paint (and necessary repairs) on the body, completely built up engine and tranny (maybe I'll even look for a manual), 8 3/4" rear with a posi, everything.

Sounds good, Jopapa, but what frame you talkin' about? Sounds like you've visited one too many chevy sites! ;)

Okay I made a doof of myself again

I had thought that like any other car, the body could be seperated from the frame on our A-bodies. Granted I have yet to do any body/suspension work on one so obviously I haven't seen anything to make me go "oh duh" :P

No problem, dude, people say that ("frame off restoration") all the time... It's really just become a figure of speech.

You're lernin'. You sound like you've got potential. Just beware of BS and hype, and don't believe everything you read and hear (that goes DOUBLE if I say it!)... 8)

The ultimate buildup for me would be a Dart wagon. Some numskull tried to sell me his trashed, burnt-out example for 10 grand! ...I don't think so.....Dave

Everyone needs a dream. You should start out with one you can achieve though.
