Car Model:

i have slant six in an old land rover, the color on the block is maroon, there is a number on the top next to the carb it is 3898447. it has a one barrel carb , would like to find out what model it is and maybe a year, tnx

You need the number from the top of the block (behind where the coil sits on most slants). You are probably looking at a manifold casting number.
