I'm going to pull an 833 O/D from an '86 dodge truck to put on my '65 dodge dart 270 that currently has an auto 904. I wanted to know if there was anything not transmission related that I would need to pull in addition to the normal stuff (trans, bell housing, flywheel, clutch, linkages, anything that bolts to it and the bolts themselves, etc...).

For example, some vehicles have different size brake pedals for automative and manual-- and one won't fit the other. Is there anything like that I should pull as well? Any general advice?

BTW thanks for http://www.slantsix.org/articles/4-spee ... speed1.htm. It helped a lot!

A clutch pedal set from a 1963-1966 A-body linakges and Z-bar...there will be some fabrication needed to make a bracket for the Z-bar to line up properly on the bellhousing to the body mount without it being crooked.

You also will need to get the tranny hump and modify to fit.

Test fitting the clutch fork to torsion bar clearance is a must as well.

Good Luck,

Also remember that tranny has a long tailshaft so you'll need to do a little bracket and driveline fabrication to make it work.

Okay it took a long time for me to get the tranny, but I have it now. Bear with me because I'm new to this...

It is hydraulic, so I won't need the z-bar. I did get the bell housing and flywheel. The buddy of mine that help said that we will have to cut the drive shaft, get clutch pedal assemblies, and maybe cut the hump.

Does anyone have the exact length I need for the drive shaft?

Does anyone know a good site to get the clutch pedal assemblies? I looked at Brewer's and they wanted $300 for them. I won't pay that.

Thanks!

I got my pedal assembly, clutch rod (the one that goes through the firewall), and a z-bar for $99 shipped to my door off eBay.

I'm patient, I watched several go before bidding on this one. I figured it was worth the extra dough because it came with the extra parts.
