If you want to install a fuel pressure gauge in the dash (inside the car) you will have to get a special unit that fits on the engine side to prevent fuel from being able to get inside! That is why you will see fuel pressure gauges mounted outside on the area just ahead of the wiper blades.

In all seriousness, a fuel pressure gauge is one of the last things on the list of things you would need to add. They look cool, but that's about it.

The one I have is electric, not mechanical.
I can easily move the sending unit around to check pressures at different places.

Whatever you do, do not get a liquid filled gauge. They are not accurate.

If a stock pump makes 5 psi you've got a good one.
