Woohoo how im glad i live in a "third world" country eh? Everything is cheap cheap especially labor (or should it be labour?? for us commonwealth folks) hehehe

Very simple. In the first world, the buyer pays, in money, the costs of containing and safely disposing of the highly toxic waste that results from chrome plating. What Dan is saying is partly true, in most cases. Ive seen car workshops here dumping used engine oil straight into the drain! however not all of them do that.

And certainly not this shop that i sent the stuff to. Although its an old shop but I see they have proper ways of containing the toxic chemical like proper containers that will be send to whereever the recycle center or what have you.
