a friend has 1964 Dodge D100 2x4 truck.. it has the parking brake running off the back of the trans- it was used with the parking brake on..needless to say the parking brake is fried!
i took a look to where the noise was coming from.. there was a bunch of spring material sticking out from the drum- i opened the inspection plate and pulled out a handful of broken metal..(looks like 3/16 spring steel) i have never taken one of these apart.. (and no manual).. i need to order parts..
so far i have only been able to find bands and a cable, no hardware.....

any suggestions?

rich

I'd have to check, but I don't think I have a FSM old enough for what you're working on. However, someone on the forums over at www.sweptline.org could probably scan a few pages of a manual if you're still needing more detail/info.
