Geez, YES! Hahahaha...a carb is a carb, it doesnt care what its on. Youoll need ana adapter to run a Holley 2300 on a carter/stromberg pattern intake (the 2bbl slant is). The plate bolts to the intake with a gasket, and the carb bolts to the plate, adds about an inch. Any 2300 will work, most will require a small bit of adapting.

Pishta im talking bout the holley 2245 not the 2300. The 2245 is a mopar carb so no changes in linkage is needed. Im just wondering if it can be adapted to blow through like the 2300 can. I've also got a neat idea for an intercooler. The turbo dodges had a unique intercooler and a unique location we might be able to use. I've got some measurements so ill see if it will work in an early a.

Not familiar with a 2245 but if its a mechanical secondary or both open at the same time or even a progressive secondary, it should work. No vacuum secondaries. The metering block is te blow throuigh key. If it has a plate like a holley 4160 (nothing between the fuel bowl and the carb center section, or no power valve) then I cant help you with the mods. There is onea 500 cfm for sale om moparts for 125 I don't know if its a 6 pack carb .

Errata, just saw the 2245, Sorry, no metering block and power valve ala 2300 so I dont think the simple PVCR mods under a power valve will work. Just get a 2300. It doesnt even have a plate. let alone a metering block. Sorry.

Looking at a Motorcraft 2100 generic Ford carb, it has a power valve/circuit just like a 2300 holley (uses the same power valves!) but its on the bottom like a Holley 4010 (Another Autolite 4100 rip off) and many people like them over holleys because they have annular boosters like the Holley HP series as stock. Look for one that has a 1.21 in the "circle" that means its about a 350 CFM carb. (they are on 351W/M and 400M ford motors) I think a 1.08 is about a 300 (common on 302 and 3.6 motors), but it may be a super cheap option instead of a 2300 if you cant find one. Still think the 2245 is not the right one to fiddle with. Check this site out for 2245 weird buried power valve. http://www.ihonlynorth.com/forums/carb- ... stuff.html

There's a guy selling a new 2300 on the for sale board on this site for 255 bucks the carb is one of the main ingredient to running boost setup there's somethings
U can be cheap about but if your trying to build a blow through setup that's a area I don't think id be cheap about
Just my opinion u can take it with a grain of salt

Pishta just thought id let u no the TOAD is almost ready to fire up I have a couple of minor electrical issues I have to deal with also the hot and cold sides of the turbo and I need to finish my fuel delivery setup maybe this week the TURBO TOAD will see life once again

Aaron

Ps anybody that tells u that a blow through turbo build is easy/cheap don't listen there a whole lot of little things that need to be address

I'm in the process of finishing my build now sure u can slap a turbo on and run 5 psi of boost and run a 14 second quarter mile but if your trying to run some serious boost 15 psi or more your going to have to do some serious research and pick the brains of the guys who are done it

Like I said just my opinion!!!!!!!

Toads lookin good! Did the exact oil tap on the sender with a brass T. the toads gotta be wider than my 65 as your steering box looks way farther than mine from the block. where do you get that hat? Looks perfect for that setup.

The 2300 is cheap enough like pishta said in a previous post you can get them on eBay for cheap. My father has one of those Ford 2 barrels off a 302 but its been sittin many years. I don't mind using a 2300 its just the making a Ford carb work on a mopar. Turbo toad I've actually been following your build on fabo. Your build is way more exreme than what I'm after. This Gn turbo runs 12 lbs and I dunno if I'm gonna run that. And ya if I can get a 20 sec car into the 14 or 13 that's amazing in itself and really all I'm after. If I can run those times ill be happy. I'm not building a high boost drag car. This will be a full street car that I wanna have fun with n maybe dust a ricer or 2. Anyway if I can figure out the linkage issues then ill be fine.

Pishta got the hat from eBay I think I paid 40 bucks for it and I think it looks cool as well I'll have to post a pic I put a barb for a boost ref and I also tapped a 1/8 npt for the meth injection
I've been alittle lazy since I got the motor and trans in I got a wiring diagram over on FABO so I can make sure I don't burn the toad to the ground wouldn't that be something I'm a electrician too I wouldnt beable to live that one down!
I got a busy next couple weeks got to work a lot so I'm hoping to bust some tail and get the hot and cold sides hooked up finish the electrical and fuel setup I'm hoping this week ill post some video for very body to check out

Turbocuda

Yah I'm trying to make the blue print with the turbo build thread for somebody with absolutely no turbo exp they can check out the posts and hopefully most of there question will be answered this is the first build I've done via the internet and this site and FABO and a couple of other ones are so flipping great the knowledge somebody can gain but they have to put the effort in and u can just about get any question answered or hard to find parts
Thanks guys ill keep everybody updated

Aaron
