i have seen a lot on talk about a bog on accl. whats a bog???sorry for the dumb question but im curios

The only dumb question is the one that's not asked. Bog is a term to describe the loss of power when the throttle is opened (the exact opposite of what you expect). I also describe it as "falling on your face". There are numerous causes, but it's typically an engine tuning issue. Usually either ignition or carburetion.

You know what a bog is, like a peat bog, or a swampy or marshy area? That's what it is basically comparing the feeling to. If you stomp on the accelerator and it hesitates and feels like you just drove off into a bog, that's called "bogging down".

A "bog" is just "slang" for any number of poor acceleration problems like a stumble, flat-spot, hesatation, soft start, no power, ect.

Basically what you want to feel is "crisp throttle responce" where the car takes-off hard, as soon as you touch the throttle. (also know as a hard launch)
