You can call, up to about 11:00 pm. I'll be up later, but then we won't have much time. Where is the diagram Doc posted? I didn't see it.

Hey Charrlie,
I'll try to call as early as possible. I will try to get over there as early as 8-8:30.
Doc posted a link to the electronic ignition wiring diagram in about the fourth reply to this original post. I think it is a link to one of the articles pages.
I'm pretty sure my problem is an open circuit somewhere in the primary wiring, not necessarily the ignition circuit.

We have a running Duster again! Charrlie walked me through the wiring over the phone last night. One call to go over the basics, a follow up to say it didn't work and add one more wire, and a third call so he could hear it run!
Thank you so much Charrlie! You're right, it is pretty simple if you stay very basic and don't let the diagrams scare you!
Now I've gotta hustle and get the myriad of other things done to get ready for Bristol.
This Forum and the people that are involved Rock!

7 days 'til Bristol...

Here it is more than 8 years later and I'm no smarter than I was then.

At least I used the search function to try and help myself first.

Now I'm thrashing on the second version of the GodsRods Duster and trying to figure out the basic wiring for the ignition, neutral safety switch and charging system yet again.

Too bad GodsRods Duster I is all the way in Arkansas...

I emailed Gerald a list of questions and he took the time to answer them all. He's a good mentor.

I made some progress on getting things wired the other night.
